NDC AS USUAL WILL PURSUE LEGAL ACTION AFTER LOSING

The Parliamentary Candidate for the Akuapem North Constituency representing the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammi Awuku, has asserted that while the 2024 General Elections are anticipated to be conducted in a free and fair manner, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is likely to challenge the results in court.

Mr. Awuku emphasized that due to the NPP’s exemplary track record and effective election strategy, the party is poised to secure a legitimate victory; however, it is anticipated that the NDC will contest the election results.

This election will be conducted fairly. If they lose, they will, as usual, take it to court. Having experienced contempt proceedings previously, I am well-versed in court matters. Therefore, no one can dispute the results. I want to assure you a vote for Dr. Bawumia is a vote for your future.

Following the 2020 General Elections, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) approached the Supreme Court to challenge the legitimacy of the presidential results that had been announced.

Ultimately, the Court affirmed that the President had been duly elected. Mr. Awuku is highly favored to secure victory in the 2024 parliamentary election by a significant margin.
