Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has been honored by the Chief of Nsawam, Nana Kwamena Ansah I, for his outstanding contributions to the nation’s digital transformation.
During his campaign tour of the Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency on Friday, Dr. Bawumia was warmly received at the palace of Nana Kwamena Ansah I. The Chief praised Dr. Bawumia’s visionary leadership, particularly his focus on digitalization as a driving force for Ghana’s progress.
“It is a historic moment for Nsawam to welcome Dr. Bawumia. He has demonstrated a deep respect for our traditions, and on behalf of the people, I am honored to receive him,” said Nana Kwamena Ansah I.
In recognition of his pioneering digital initiatives and forward-looking vision for the country, the Chief conferred upon Dr. Bawumia the honorary chieftaincy title of “Ntentankesehene,” which translates to “King of the World Wide Web.”
“The digital agenda he champions to propel this country forward is truly commendable. I believe in its potential, and thus, I bestow upon him the title of Ntentankesehene, in recognition of his achievements and aspirations for Ghana,” the Chief stated.
Nana Kwamena Ansah I further expressed his confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s ability to lead Ghana towards greater development and assured him of his continued prayers and support.
“We believe Dr. Bawumia possesses the qualities necessary to advance our nation. We are praying for his success, and may the Almighty God bless his positive vision for the country’s future,” the Chief added.
