THE FORMER EPA HEAD URGES NPP TO WORK HARD TO ACHIEVE THE ‘BREAKING THE 8’ GOAL

Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu (esq), the former Chief Executive Officer of the Environmental Protection Agency, has urged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to exert every effort to secure victory in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

He emphasized that the party’s slogan of “breaking the 8” is essential and encouraged the NPP to diligently pursue this objective. During an interview on Akoma 87.9fm in Kumasi with Sir John, Dr. Kokofu expressed his views.

His Excellency John Mahama has been packaged and given to Ghanaians and rejected overwhelmingly on two occasions. So, NPP should put its house in order and again exploit clearly the weaknesses that he [John Mahama] has, even his governance style which the people haven’t forgotten, it’ll be very difficult for them to come to power.

All I’m saying is that it is not for the NPP to be complacent. It’s for the party to put its acts together, unite, work hard and that mantra ‘break the 8’ is possible.

He said that “it is absolutely possible, depending on the way we rearrange and position ourselves so that in the end we are able to ‘break that 8’. For me, the mantra of ‘break the 8’ is a must for the NPP and I think that in the end, we’ll be judged not based on anything, but performance.

He urged the citizens of Ghana to support the continuation of the NPP in governance. He expressed confidence that the achievements of Nana Akufo-Addo’s administration during the last seven and a half years warranted the party’s re-election.

Highlighting the government’s initiatives aimed at enhancing public education, infrastructure, and other sectors, he encouraged Ghanaians to cast their votes for the NPP, citing the party’s exemplary performance.

My word to Ghanaians is that our government has done well, come to education, look at our track record in health, in industry, roads, in every sector, we deserve another term,
