DR. BAWUMIA REVITALIZE NPP BASE WITH CAMPAIGN TOUR IN ASHANTI REGION

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Vice Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), commenced his nationwide campaign tour on Thursday, August 15, 2024.

This initiative termed the constituency-focused campaign, began in the Ashanti Region, recognized as the party’s ‘political world bank.’

During this tour, he is set to visit all 47 constituencies within the region to invigorate the party’s support base and garner backing for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming December elections.

On the same day, the Running Mate’s delegation, which included notable figures such as Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong (Member of Parliament for Assin Central), Danquah Smith (1st National Vice Chairman of the Party), Lawyer Henry Nana Boakye (National Organizer), and Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Ashanti Regional Chairman), visited three constituencies: Asante Akyem, Asante Akyem Central, and Bosome Freho.

Affectionately known as Napo, Dr. Prempeh and his team received an enthusiastic welcome in these areas, as thousands of party supporters and members of the public gathered to hear from Dr. Bawumia’s Running Mate and his entourage during various campaign rallies, traditional durbars, and meetings with religious and community leaders.

In his speeches, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh emphasized the achievements of the NPP government, particularly in education, healthcare, industrialization, and job creation, asserting that these accomplishments are unparalleled in the nation’s history.

He urged the populace to maintain their confidence in the NPP and to cast their votes in large numbers for the party’s presidential candidate on December 7, aiming to help the party reach its target of 85% of the votes.

Dr. Prempeh also called upon the residents of the Ashanti Region and all Ghanaians to support the vision of his leader, Dr. Bawumia. This vision encompasses the creation of a prosperous Ghana characterized by political and religious tolerance, sustainable employment opportunities, an industrial revolution, and peaceful coexistence.

He seized the opportunity to elevate the profiles of the party’s various parliamentary candidates in front of their constituents, urging them to cast their votes in large numbers for these candidates.

Numerous speakers, including Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Chairman Wontumi, Hon. Nana Afriyie Ayew, and several others, took the stage to advocate for the people of the Ashanti Region and Ghanaians at large to place their trust in Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the NPP, emphasizing that this choice represents the most reliable path to securing their future and that of their children.
