Government Spokesperson Kofi Tonto has characterized former President and leader of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama, as lacking credibility.
He asserted that Mr. Mahama has consistently demonstrated through his statements and actions that he is neither trustworthy nor reliable. In his remarks on the Friday edition of the “Kokrokoo” show on Peace FM, Kofi Tonto dismissed the NDC Youth Manifesto.
During the launch of this manifesto at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Mr. Mahama pledged to offer free tuition for first-year students in tertiary institutions, enhance the accessibility of student loans, and initiate various projects aimed at improving the circumstances of the youth.
We shall decentralize the procurement of food and other supplies to the headmaster’s school basis. In order to improve the quality of food and also boost the local economies in the district where the schools are located.
We shall expand access by building more infrastructure in existing secondary schools, and we shall dedicate funding to completing the E blocks in order that more children can have the opportunity to go to school.
The former President has committed to finalizing the “Agenda 111” health initiative initiated by President Nana Akufo-Addo, should he regain the presidency.
He asserts that his administration will generate additional employment opportunities through the implementation of Agenda 111. In response to Ex-President Mahama, Kofi Tonto highlighted several remarks made by the NDC flagbearer regarding the free education initiative and the Agenda 111 policies, among others, introduced by the Akufo-Addo administration.
He referenced Mahama’s characterization of Agenda 111 as an “over-ambitious” endeavor. Consequently, he questioned how Mahama intends to complete a project he has previously criticized as overly ambitious.
John Dramani Mahama and his party are not credible. They have proven time and again that they say something today and another thing tomorrow. I can tell you so many credible issues to show why John Dramani Mahama is not a credible person.
This election is going to be about credibility and our leader, Mahamudu Bawumia has shown that he is truthful and honest with his word. He’s shown he is credible.
