WE FULLY SUPPORT BAWUMIA’S BUS PLEDGE—NSOATREMAN DISSOCIATES ITSELF FROM GENERAL MANAGER’S COMMENTS

The Ghana Premier League club Nsoatreman has distanced itself from remarks made by their general manager, Eric Alagidede. Alagidede suggested that clubs need tax rebates rather than the buses promised by NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

During the launch of the 2024 NPP manifesto over the weekend, the Vice President pledged to provide each Ghana League club with a bus if elected president in the December general elections.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Nsoatreman, owned by Employment and Labour Relations Minister Ignatius Baffour Awuah, clarified that Alagidede’s comments were made in his personal capacity and not as a representative of the club.

The club apologized and expressed its support for Bawumia’s initiative to support clubs.

Additionally, Nsoatreman will travel to Cameroon on Thursday for the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary tie against Chad’s Elect-Sport. The Ghana FA Cup champions hold a strong 3-0 lead from the first leg played at the Accra Sports Stadium last weekend.
