Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Vice-Presidential Candidate of the NPP, is calling on former Members of Parliament, Ministers, and MMDCEs from the Kufuor and Akufo-Addo administrations to leverage their political expertise in support of the Bawumia 2024 Campaign.
During a meeting with these former MPs and appointees from the Ahafo, Bono, and Bono East regions on Friday, August 23, 2024, in Sunyani, Dr. Prempeh encouraged them to set aside any past disagreements with the party.
He emphasized that the party’s interests should take precedence, highlighting the importance of their collective efforts in securing victory for the party in the upcoming 2024 elections.
We are aware that some of you may not be happy about one or the other, but remember that, the party interest remains supreme. Let us put behind us whatever difficulties we have had in the past and forge ahead in unity.
Dr. Prempeh urged the regional executives to intentionally incorporate former appointees and Members of Parliament into the campaign framework.
He emphasized that this integration would enable them to make significant contributions to the campaign. In response, Kwame Baffoe, the Regional Chairman for the NPP in the Bono region, expressed gratitude to Dr. Prempeh for this initiative, assuring that he would spearhead efforts to include everyone in the campaign.
Dr. Prempeh also indicated plans to extend these engagements to other regions, aiming to strengthen the party’s efforts toward achieving electoral success. Later, Dr. Prempeh attended a meeting of the Women’s Wing, where he reaffirmed his commitment to supporting all their initiatives.
