“OUR DATA SPEAKS FOR ITSELF”: DR. BAWUMIA HIGHLIGHTS GHANA’S PROGRESS

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has proudly highlighted Ghana’s pioneering role in digital innovation and the remarkable strides made in national infrastructure under his leadership.

Speaking at a media event at the Movenpick Hotel in Accra on Sunday, August 25, 2024, Dr. Bawumia underscored the significant progress that has positioned Ghana as a continental leader in technology and development.

Reflecting on Ghana’s groundbreaking achievement in mobile money interoperability. This milestone underscores Ghana’s leadership in the digital space, setting the standard for other African nations.

Ghana was the first country in Africa to achieve mobile money interoperability between banks and mobile money accounts, a fact that initially faced skepticism. However, once the full scope of our achievement was understood, the critics quietly retreated.

Dr. Bawumia also mentioned the government’s transformative impact on education, transitioning from a past where basic supplies like chalk were scarce to a present where every senior high school student receives a tablet.

Today, we are equipping every senior high school student with a tablet, demonstrating our commitment to modernizing education and preparing our youth for the digital future

In the area of healthcare, Dr. Bawumia proudly shared the achievements of the Agenda 111 initiative, which has seen the construction of 47 hospitals, 428 CHPS compounds, and 230 health centers. He furthered,  Ghana’s advancements in healthcare technology were further highlighted by the country’s status as the world leader in medical drone delivery services.

These accomplishments are nothing short of extraordinary, and they don’t even include the additional work under Agenda 111

Dr. Bawumia emphasized that the current administration’s performance has outshone that of the previous government across all sectors. ”

The data speaks for itself. We have outperformed the former administration led by President Mahama in virtually every area of the economy

This unparalleled success is rooted in our commitment to data-driven governance and our focus on tangible results.

He confidently concluded that the administration’s achievements are a testament to its dedication to advancing Ghana’s development.

Dr. Bawumia declared, reaffirming his vision for a prosperous and technologically advanced Ghana.
