The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mahamudu Bawumia, has stated that the government has achieved 80% of the promises made in its 2020 manifesto.
During a media engagement on Sunday, August 25, Dr. Bawumia highlighted the government’s dedication to delivering on its commitments.
He contrasted this achievement with the record of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, asserting that Mahama only fulfilled 28% of his 2012 manifesto promises.
We have a strong record when it comes to honoring our promises. We reviewed our 2016 manifesto and found that we fulfilled 83 percent of those commitments. For the 2020 manifesto, despite various challenges, we have fulfilled or are on track to fulfill 80 percent of our promises,
In comparison, my opponent, when he was president, only fulfilled 28 percent of his 2012 manifesto promises. Out of 280 promises, he did not fulfill 203. Thus, we have a better record in terms of delivering on our promises,
he added.
