A VOTE FOR MAHAMA MEANS ENDORSING A ‘SECOND-HAND PRESIDENT’ WITHOUT A CLEAR VISION FOR THE FUTURE – DR BAWUMIA

The Vice President and presidential candidate of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has raised concerns regarding the efficacy of the policies implemented by former President John Mahama.

While speaking to a large gathering of youth in Akyem Asafo, located in the Abuakwa South Constituency of the Eastern Region, Dr. Bawumia remarked that despite having previously held the office of President and subsequently being removed from power, Mahama has yet to present a definitive vision for the nation’s future.

As I have been saying, I have never been President before. But my opponent has been President before.

The good people of Ghana gave him the opportunity but he performed poorly and he became the only President to be voted out of office for poor performance. He came again and he was rejected again.

He has still not showed clear vision for the youth and the country. I have not been President before and I have outlined my new vision and bold solutions for Ghana, which includes a clear vision for the youth in many areas including education, TVET, ICT training and many more.

After establishing a clear differentiation between his policies and those of Mahama, Bawumia went on to address the audience.

is it nkoko nketenketen (rearing of small-scale chicks)? Is it rearing of guinea fowls? Is it 24 hour disco and night clubs?

A vote for John Mahama is a vote for a second-hand President with no clear vision for the youth and for Ghana…and a vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is a vote for a brand-new, tear-rubber President with a new vision for the youth and Ghana.
