The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has urged the chiefs and residents of the Obom-Domeabra Constituency in the Greater Accra Region to vote decisively for the NPP in the upcoming December 7, 2024 election.

During his visit, Dr. Bawumia assured that the party, alongside NPP parliamentary candidate Abdul Wahab Mohammed, is committed to advancing the region’s development.

Speaking at a durbar attended by chiefs, Muslim clerics, and Christian clergy as part of his ‘Possibilities’ tour of the Greater Accra Region, Dr. Bawumia addressed concerns raised by traditional leaders. He emphasized his focus on agriculture to enhance the lives of farmers.

Dr. Bawumia shared his vision for the future, including implementing flat-rate taxes, simplifying passport applications, and training one million youths in digital skills to generate employment opportunities.

He also pledged to address road infrastructure needs through the District Road Improvement Projects (DRIP).

The President of the Domeabra-Obom Chiefs Association, Nii Abeka I, thanked the government for the free Senior High School (SHS) policy, which he noted has significantly benefited many. He requested that the government not neglect the area and suggested creating a new district from the Ga South Municipality, along with establishing a new SHS, a clinic, and a factory in the region.

In another event in Ngleshi Amanfro, Bawumia met with clergy, imams, and traditional leaders from the Bortianor-Ngleshi Amanfro Constituency, encouraging them to support him to fulfill their needs.

Later at Galilea Park, Dr. Bawumia and his team were warmly received by enthusiastic NPP supporters who had eagerly awaited their arrival. The crowd celebrated with cheers, chants, and dancing as speakers highlighted the achievements of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration.

Dr. Bawumia reviewed the progress made over the past seven years, including the introduction of the free SHS, the Ghana card, the digital address system, and mobile money interoperability, describing these initiatives as foundational for future advancements.
