The flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has asserted that public data clearly shows the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as having a superior development record in every sector.
During his campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region, Dr. Bawumia addressed community leaders and supporters in Tema, stating that the NPP, under President Akufo-Addo, has outperformed the previous National Democratic Congress (NDC) government over the past seven years in all development areas.
He challenged the NDC and former President John Mahama to refute this claim with data if they disagree.
We have delivered better performance sector by sector. In agriculture, industry, and beyond, we have done better,
He highlighted the creation of 2.1 million jobs under the NPP, noting that while more jobs are needed, this figure surpasses that of any previous government in the Fourth Republic.
Dr. Bawumia also pointed to advancements in roads, railways, hospitals, interchanges, schools, classrooms, and sports facilities.
He dared the NDC and John Mahama to challenge him with data in any area where they believe the NDC excelled over the NPP.
There is no area where the previous government can claim to have performed better. I challenge them because I rely on data. When I say we have done better, I have the data to back it up. This is why the former president avoids debating me—he knows he lacks the data,
He can make statements on political platforms where no one will contest him, but he cannot do so in a debate with me.
Dr. Bawumia declared.
