Kofi Tonto, serving as a Government Spokesperson, has addressed the appeal made by former President John Dramani Mahama, urging Ghanaians to initiate a reset for the nation.
During the unveiling of his manifesto, Mahama, the flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), expressed his belief that the current administration has significantly harmed the economy, necessitating a reset for the country.
Tomorrow, we take the first step towards resetting our dear nation Ghana. We face challenges that have held us back for too long but now it’s time to build the Ghana we all want together . . . tomorrow, we begin the journey together.
During a recent appearance on the Friday edition of Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” program, Kofi Tonto delivered a sharp retort to Mahama, stating,
Ghana is not an iPhone that can be reset. Ghana is not a laptop that can be reset.
He emphasized that what Ghana truly requires is not a mere reset, but rather the establishment of systems that have already been initiated by the current government, with further advancements anticipated under the leadership of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party, to foster national development.
We build on nations. We don’t reset them.
