MAHAMA WANTS US TO FOCUS ON OUR OLD WAYS, VOTE AGAINST HIM – BAWUMIA TELLS GHANAIANS

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has once again criticized John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, for lacking innovative ideas.

During a speech to party supporters following his visit to the La Traditional Council in Accra on Thursday, September 12, the Vice President argued that Mahama’s proposals for the 2024 general election reflect a desire to revert to outdated approaches.

Dr. Bawumia urged Ghanaian voters to reject Mahama’s vision of 24-hour discos and support his own candidacy on December 7. He emphasized his commitment to leading the country towards a future of job creation, digital advancement, and widespread prosperity.

“This election represents a choice between moving forward or returning to the past. We aim to advance towards a future filled with job opportunities, digital transformation, and greater prosperity for all Ghanaians,” Dr. Bawumia declared.

“Former President Mahama offers no new ideas; his focus on outdated concepts like 24-hour discos does not address the real needs of our country. We are dedicated to a new direction that prioritizes employment for our youth,” he added.

With the 2024 general election just months away, attention is focused on the presidential race. Although more than ten candidates have declared their intention to run, political analysts believe the main contest will be between Dr. Bawumia of the ruling NPP and John Dramani Mahama of the leading opposition party.
