His Spiritual Holiness Sheikh Alhaji Abdulai Maikano Jalloo (Khalifatul-Akbar), the esteemed Spiritual Leader and President of the Tijania Muslim Council, has conveyed his sincere appreciation to the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration for leading various developmental initiatives in Prang, the spiritual center of the Tijania Muslim Council and its surrounding areas.
He characterized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as a party committed to development, thus warranting the unwavering support of all citizens of Ghana.
Khalifatul-Akbar articulated these sentiments on Friday, September 13, 2024, during a courtesy visit from Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the NPP Vice Presidential Candidate, who was in Prang, the capital of the Pru West constituency in the Bono East Region, as part of his campaign activities. The Spiritual Leader stated that…
The real essence of politics is to bring about development and make life easy for people. Unfortunately, despite the spiritual significance of Prang and its socioeconomic potential, the town was virtually neglected by all previous governments until the reign of President Akufo-Addo and Bawumia.
All the developments you see in Prang were championed by the NPP, most of which was done through the current MP and immediate past DCE for this area, Hon. Stephen Jalulah. Prang is forever grateful to the NPP and will always support you.
The spiritual leader praised the NPP presidential candidate, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, recognizing him as not only a member of their community but also a significant source of pride for both the Muslim community (Ummah) and the broader Ghanaian populace.
He offered prayers for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, bestowing blessings upon them. Furthermore, he made prophetic assertions regarding their success in the upcoming general elections.
In response, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh expressed gratitude to Khalifa for his unwavering prayers and support for the NPP. He emphasized the crucial role that Muslims have played in the establishment of the UP tradition, which forms the foundation of the NPP, particularly through the Muslim Association Party, one of the key parties that contributed to the formation of the UP, now recognized as the New Patriotic Party.
He assured both the Muslim community and all Ghanaians that the forthcoming NPP administration under H.E. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia will promote enhanced religious tolerance and harmony throughout the nation.
