The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has asserted that former President John Mahama is aware of an impending defeat on December 7, which he believes has prompted Mahama’s recent criticisms of various institutions and leaders within the country.
While addressing a large gathering of supporters at a campaign rally in Amasaman today, Dr. Bawumia expressed his dismay at the former President’s decision to refer to Chiefs, Pastors, and Imams as “hypocrites,” in addition to labeling the New Patriotic Party as “foolish.”
According to Dr. Bawumia, Mahama’s remarks stem from a sense of frustration and desperation for power, as he has come to the realization that he is likely to lose in the upcoming December elections.
Today I have heard that he has insulted pastors, Imams, Chiefs and CSOs…Recently, he has also been insulting the Electoral Commission. Today too, he said NPP government is a foolish government”, he said, asking “are these utterances that should be coming out of the mouth of a former President? How can a former President make such indecent comments?
how the campaign is going, the former President has seen that he will lose massively, so any little things, he gets upset.

We have built more interchanges than your government. We have built more bridges than your government. We have built more factories than your government. We have built more schools than your government.
Every sector of the economy that you can mention, we have done better than you and you say we are foolish government.
