DR. BAWUMIA URGES VOTERS TO CONSIDER HIM FOR THE PRESIDENCY AFTER HIS SUCCESSFUL VICE PRESIDENCY

During a speech to party supporters in the Amasaman Constituency, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President and presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), made a pointed critique of his primary opponent, former President John Dramani Mahama, in anticipation of the upcoming general elections on December 7.

While passionately engaging with the audience during his tour of the Greater Accra region, Dr. Bawumia emphasized his proven record and qualifications for the presidency.

I have not been president before. I am a vice president. All the works I have done, I have done as vice president. I have implemented 33 different policies that are currently working.

For the former president, he cannot even show a single policy he championed.” This sharp contrast, he argued, highlights his own accomplishments and readiness for higher office. This means that I have passed as a vice president. Promote me to do the work of a president. Give me the steer because I have passed as a vice president.

Bawumia’s statements were designed to highlight his qualifications and preparedness for the presidency, while also casting doubt on the efficacy and legacy of Mahama’s former administration.

The Vice President’s address not only reaffirmed his dedication to his party’s objectives but also aimed to galvanize support by juxtaposing his accomplishments with those of his opponent.

As the campaign escalates, Bawumia’s assertive declarations emphasize the competitive dynamics of the race and establish a foundation for a vigorous contest as the elections approach.
