The esteemed paramount chief of Kumawu, Barima Sarfo Tweneboah Kodua, has expressed that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has made a commendable choice in selecting Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as their candidate for vice president.
He noted that Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia’s selection of Dr. Prempeh, affectionately known as ‘Napo’ and a distinguished son of Asanteman, as his running mate for the forthcoming election, has conferred honor upon the chiefs and the entire Asanteman community.

Barima Tweneboah Kodua expressed his belief that Napo is deserving of the esteemed position due to his accomplishments. He confidently asserted that Napo will further elevate the reputation of Asanteman upon his ascension to the vice presidency of Ghana, promising to continue his prayers for Napo to achieve his significant aspirations.
The Kumawu Traditional Leader commended Napo for his outstanding performance in public service, particularly during the past eight years of NPP governance, affirming his competence, integrity, and capability.
As the Minister of Education, Napo met expectations by diligently implementing the free Senior High School (SHS) social intervention policy, which has significantly contributed to reducing school dropout rates.

He was addressing the audience when Napo, who is presently engaged in a campaign tour in the Ashanti Region to solicit votes for his superior and the NPP presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, paid a visit to the Kumawuhene’s palace on Thursday.
Barima Tweneboah Kodua expressed his admiration for Napo’s humble dedication in supporting Dr. Bawumia’s campaign efforts, encouraging him to continue his loyal and wholehearted assistance to the NPP presidential candidate.
He remarked that the NPP government has been beneficial to Kumawu regarding the equitable distribution of national resources, noting that his region has experienced significant developmental initiatives as a result.
