NAPO DIMINISHES MAHAMA’S CHANCES IN THE ASHANTI REGION

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, commonly referred to as Napo, has made a significant statement by delivering a sharp critique of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its leader, John Mahama, in the Ashanti Region.

As the Vice Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Napo cautioned voters that backing the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would result in a squandered vote, highlighting the party’s insufficient commitment to the development of the region.

During a rally in Tweapeasi, situated in the Odotobiri Constituency, Napo reiterated the NPP’s dedication to fostering growth in the Ashanti Region.

He expressed his dissatisfaction with the NDC, pointing out that although the party has garnered significant support from the region in previous elections, it has consistently overlooked the area while in office.

Napo’s admonitions could have a considerable effect on Mahama’s prospects in the Ashanti Region, which is a vital constituency in the forthcoming elections.

Given Napo’s deep connections to the region and his prominent role as Vice Presidential Candidate, his statements are expected to resonate strongly with the electorate.

The Ashanti Region represents a critical battleground in the 2024 elections, with both parties competing for supremacy. Historically, the region has been a stronghold for the NPP, yet the NDC is actively attempting to gain a foothold.
