THE EXPECTED SUCCESS OF THE NPP CAN ONLY BE REALIZED IN A CLIMATE OF TRANQUILITY – NAPO

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has received a significant boost in its efforts to reclaim the Fomena parliamentary seat and enhance its electoral performance on December 7.

During a unity rally held in Dompoase, located within the Fomena Constituency of the Ashanti Region, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the party’s vice presidential candidate, urged attendees to forgive past grievances and focus on uniting for the benefit of the party.

This rally catalyzed the concerted efforts required throughout the constituency to ensure victory for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Andrew Asiamah Amoako.

This encouraging development follows the reconciliation of two factions within the party that had been in conflict for four years, as they have now chosen to set aside their differences and collaborate.

The reconciliation between the former and current party executives was facilitated by Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, who visited Fomena to address the situation.

In his address, NAPO encouraged both factions to let go of past disputes in the best interest of the ruling party. He emphasized that the NPP government, under President Akufo-Addo, has made significant strides over the past eight years to advance the nation’s prosperity, and thus, it is imperative for the party to maintain its leadership and continue its positive initiatives.

He conveyed to the conflicting factions that the anticipated success of the NPP can only be realized in an environment characterized by peace and unity, urging party members to unite and actively campaign for the NPP.

He emphasized to the disputing parties that the NPP has important objectives yet to be accomplished in governance, encouraging party members to exert considerable effort to secure a significant electoral victory for the party.

As a demonstration of complete unity, the NPP Fomena office, which had been closed for the past four years, was finally reopened following the peace meeting. NAPO also indicated that the party’s choice of the current independent MP for Fomena, Andrew Asiamah, as their parliamentary candidate for the 2024 elections is a fitting decision.

He noted that Asiamah, who has strong ties to the NPP, has consistently supported and collaborated with NPP members in Parliament, despite his independent status.

The NPP running mate urged the party’s supporters and sympathizers to provide unwavering support for Asiamah, enabling him to secure the Fomena seat for the NPP on December 7.

In his remarks, Andrew Amoako Asiamah expressed his longing to be part of the NPP, a party he deeply cherishes. He reiterated his dedication to leading the NPP to a significant electoral triumph in Fomena and committed to collaborating closely with the party to realize this objective.

called upon the party’s leadership and supporters in Fomena to set aside any previous disputes and unite for the collective benefit of the NPP. He encouraged all stakeholders, particularly former and current executives and assembly members, to support the party’s ongoing initiatives in the constituency as part of their campaign strategy.
