The National Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has urged for the prosecution of individuals apprehended for acts of vandalism and violence during the recent demonstrations organized by the Democracy Hub.
In a statement issued on September 26, 2024, the NPP Youth Wing characterized those detained as “miscreants and hooligans” pretending to be peaceful protesters.
Led by the NPP National Youth Organiser, Salam Mustapha, the group condemned the behavior of the arrested individuals, who face charges of unlawful assembly, property destruction, and assaulting public officials.
The statement underscored the necessity for legal measures against these criminal acts committed under the pretense of protests.

The NPP Youth Wing called upon law-abiding citizens to assist law enforcement agencies in holding accountable those who engage in unlawful activities.
