BAWUMIA IS DESTINED TO BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT

Religious leaders across the country continue to express their endorsement of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, predicting his victory in the 2024 elections set for December 7.

Yesterday, in the Wassa East Constituency of the Western Region, religious leaders voiced their support for Dr. Bawumia, affirming that he has already been divinely chosen by God to become Ghana’s next president. They noted that securing the number one position on the ballot paper is a sign that the Vice President is destined to lead the country.

Regardless of the challenges, the Vice President will be Ghana’s next leader. He is the one chosen by God to guide this nation,

they declared.

The religious leaders made these remarks during a meeting with Dr. Bawumia at Daboase, as part of his four-day campaign tour of the region.

Speaking on behalf of the Muslim leaders, Imam Mohammed Apagya Suala of Wassa Atobiase praised the NPP for selecting a Muslim as their presidential candidate.

Insha Allah, for the first time in the history of Ghana, we will have a Muslim President. This will demonstrate to the world that Christians and Muslims in Ghana are one people,

he stated.

The Imam emphasized that the number one is seen as sacred in Islam, signifying God’s unity.

Therefore, Dr. Bawumia being number one on the ballot paper is a clear indication that Allah has chosen him.

He also lauded Dr. Bawumia’s efforts in promoting religious tolerance and interfaith harmony in Ghana, noting that the country has become a global example of peaceful religious coexistence. He urged continued unity between the Muslim and Christian communities.

Rev. Paul Cudjoe, speaking on behalf of the Christian leaders, also expressed confidence that Dr. Bawumia would emerge as Ghana’s next president. He commended the Vice President for running a campaign free of insults, instead focusing on explaining his policies to the public.

Similarly, Nana Kwadu Kyerefo, Chief of Sekyereheman and Acting President of the Wasa Fiase Traditional Area, emphasized that Dr. Bawumia would make an exceptional president when given the mandate in December.

He urged the Vice President to complete the stalled development projects in the region if elected.

Dr. Bawumia, in response, pledged to offer incentives to faith-based organizations, acknowledging the significant role they play in national development, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare, and social services.

He also used the opportunity to highlight some of the key policies he has spearheaded during his tenure as Vice President, including the issuance of the Ghana Card, the Ghana Post Digital Property Address System, Mobile Money Interoperability, and the integration of the Ghana Card with systems such as the Tax Identification Number (TIN), Social Security, and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), as well as the digitalization of passport services and the Ghana Zipline Medical Drones Delivery.
