The Vice President and NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has conveyed a resolute commitment to securing victory in the presidential election as his campaign gains significant traction.
A key aspect of Dr. Bawumia’s campaign strategy involves direct engagement with the populace in their homes, markets, and public spaces. Since his nomination as the NPP presidential candidate, the Vice President has consistently prioritized grassroots interaction.
He actively seeks the support of the citizens to secure their endorsement for his candidacy as Ghana’s next President. In his recent campaign efforts, Dr. Bawumia has adopted a “meet and greet” approach, making unexpected visits to shops, offices, markets, and transportation hubs to connect with the community.
Dr. Bawumia commenced his campaign tour in the Western Region on Thursday, September 26. He initiated his street-to-street campaign with renewed vigor at Daboase Junction within the region.
To the surprise of local commuters and residents, Dr. Bawumia demonstrated his characteristic humility, engaging warmly with everyone he met in the area. He replicated this approach in the towns of Daboase and Shama, visiting markets, shops, and lorry parks to hold personal discussions with drivers, traders, and commuters.
His tour continued in Ahanta West, where he energetically campaigned at the Apowa and Agona Nkwanta lorry parks. Notably, Dr. Bawumia exhibits remarkable stamina; on each occasion, he walks for over 30 minutes, undeterred by inclement weather, to meet the people, reflecting his readiness, seriousness, and dedication to advancing Ghana’s progress.
