AKUFO-ADDO CALLS ON 21 NEW HIGH COURT JUDGES TO DELIVER JUSTICE SWIFTLY AND FAIRLY.

President Akufo-Addo has urged 21 newly appointed justices of the High Court to prioritize delivering justice swiftly and impartially.

Speaking at their swearing-in ceremony on September 30, 2024, at Jubilee House, the President administered the Oaths of Office, Allegiance, and Secrecy to the justices. During his address, he highlighted the significant responsibility these individuals now bear in safeguarding the welfare of the Ghanaian people.

He emphasized the crucial role of the High Court in ensuring justice is accessible and delivered fairly to all citizens.

President Akufo-Addo reminded the justices that their diligence and impartiality are key to maintaining public confidence in the judiciary.

The High Court, as outlined in Article 140 of the Constitution, is a superior court with jurisdiction over civil and criminal matters. Its role in the judicial system is undeniable. It is here that many of the judiciary’s most important cases begin and often conclude,
