NAPO CALLS FOR RELIGION TO REMAIN SEPARATE FROM ELECTIONS

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the NPP Vice Presidential Candidate, has called on voters to prioritize the competence of candidates over religious affiliations in the upcoming elections.

He stressed that Ghana needs a capable leader to drive progress, urging citizens to focus on qualifications and experience when selecting their next president.

Speaking during his Ashanti Regional campaign tour in Afrancho, NAPO emphasized that the political landscape demands leadership rooted in expertise. He affirmed that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, a devoted Muslim, is the most qualified candidate to lead the country at this pivotal moment.

NAPO praised Dr. Bawumia’s credentials, citing his experience as key to making him the ideal choice for president. He underscored the unity among Ghanaians despite their diverse backgrounds, and urged voters to come together in recognizing the importance of electing a leader with the knowledge and ability to govern effectively.

He encouraged voters to make informed choices by evaluating candidates based on their skills and vision for the nation’s future.

In voting for the next president, I urge you to support the one who can sustain the progress made over the past eight years,

He further remarked,

Chiefs are neither Muslims nor pastors, but they offer their lands for the establishment of churches and mosques, exemplifying the unity of Ghanaians. Our shared destiny is greater than any differences, and we should vote for competence, not religious affiliations.

Where someone comes from or their religion is irrelevant. What matters is their capability to lead our country toward prosperity,

he urged.
