ADADE-PREMPEH REAFFIRMS THE NPP’S DEDICATION TO CHIEFTAINCY AND DEVELOPMENT

The wife of the NPP’s vice-presidential candidate has recognized the chieftaincy institution’s historical and cultural significance, reaffirming the party’s deep respect for it.

Alma Pokua Adade-Prempeh, wife of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) vice-presidential candidate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, visited four prominent traditional leaders in Accra today.

This visit is part of the NPP’s ongoing engagement with key stakeholders ahead of the 2024 general elections. Adade-Prempeh and her team were warmly welcomed by Nii Doodo Insaki (Otublohum Mantse), Nii Ayikia IV (Akanmadji Mantse), Nii Niikoi Ola Amashie (Asere Djorshie Mantse), and Nii Ahene Nunoo (Abola Mantse).

During her discussions with the chiefs, Adade-Prempeh emphasized their crucial role in Ghana’s governance, noting their importance as unifying figures in communities and vital partners in the nation’s development. She also recognized the historical and cultural significance of the chieftaincy institution and reiterated the NPP’s deep respect for it.

The NPP government values the institution of chieftaincy and recognises the important role it plays in our nation’s progress. A future Dr Bawumia-led administration will work to further strengthen this institution to meet the aspirations of our people

Adade-Prempeh was joined by a distinguished delegation that included NPP’s second vice chairperson, Rita Asobayire; former Ledzokuku MP and deputy health minister, Dr. Gladys Ashitey; former Attorney General, Ayikoi Otoo; deputy national organizer, Chris Lloyd Nii Kwei; deputy national youth organizer, Jay Hyde; and parliamentary candidate for Odododiodio, Manaf Sowah.

The traditional leaders expressed their appreciation for the visit, offering encouraging words to Adade-Prempeh and her team. This warm reception underscored the NPP’s message of hope and development as the party ramps up its campaign for the 2024 general elections.

Adade-Prempeh thanked the chiefs for their steadfast leadership in their communities and committed to continued collaboration with traditional authorities to advance the country’s development agenda.
