SAMIRA BAWUMIA SEEKS OTUMFUO’S BLESSINGS WHILE PROMOTING BAWUMIA’S VISION FOR ASHANTI

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has counseled Samira Bawumia, the spouse of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, to engage in her campaign with humility and respect as the forthcoming elections approach.

During a visit on Wednesday, 9 October, which was part of her week-long campaign tour in the Ashanti Region, the Asantehene encouraged Samira to concentrate on articulating her plans as well as those of her husband and their party with clarity.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining decorum and civility in the political landscape as the elections draw near.

God is the maker of kings, so continue spreading your message. I also thank you for supporting your husband in his campaign, as men succeed when they are supported by good and dedicated wives. I give you my blessings as you embark on your campaign activities.

Hajia Samira Bawumia reiterated her husband’s dedication to enhancing the well-being of Ghanaians, with a particular emphasis on women and the youth.

She expressed her appreciation to the Asantehene for his ongoing guidance and support for her husband. She emphasized Dr. Bawumia’s initiatives aimed at empowering women through the creation of a Women Empowerment Fund, which is intended to assist small and medium enterprises (SMEs) owned by women.

Furthermore, she mentioned that Dr. Bawumia plans to generate one million jobs, specifically targeting youth employment, as part of his broader vision for the nation’s progress.

Dr. Bawumia, through your wise counsel, is poised to improve the lives of the people of Ghana and Asante. His vision is to empower women with the establishment of the Women Empowerment Fund and an SME Bank to provide financial support to women. And as you know, the campaign has intensified, and that is why I had to make a trip to Manhyia to seek your blessings. With your prayers, Dr. Bawumia and the NPP will emerge victorious.

Dr. Bawumia has chosen your grandson as his running mate, which is very significant and a huge testimony of his connection to Asante.

The Second Lady is currently engaged in a week-long tour of the party’s stronghold and is anticipated to engage with voters, including those in the Asokwa and Bosomtwe Constituencies, on Thursday, October 10.
