Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has once again criticized former President John Mahama, accusing him of plunging the country into total darkness, commonly referred to as ‘Dumsor’, during his time in office.
He stated that Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration failed miserably to provide a consistent power supply due to poor management and ineffective policies, which severely impacted businesses.
As a result of the NDC’s mismanagement, Dr. Prempeh, also known as ‘Napo’, remarked that Ghanaians, particularly business owners, remember Mahama primarily for his notorious ‘Dumsor’.
Napo, who is the running mate of Dr. Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, noted, “The only legacy John Mahama left Ghanaians as president is frequent power cuts, so we only remember him for his ‘Dumsor’.”
Speaking at Akyem Topremeng in the Akwatia Constituency as part of his nationwide campaign tour, Napo highlighted that under Mahama’s administration, business costs rose, leading to the collapse of many businesses and subsequent job losses.
He emphasized that it took a capable, bold, and visionary leader like President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to finally address the ‘Dumsor’ issue, easing the burden on Ghanaians.
Napo cautioned Ghanaians about the risks of voting the incompetent NDC back into power, asserting that Mahama has not learned from his past mistakes and would likely fail again if re-elected.
He also pointed out that after closely following Mahama’s recent campaign speeches, he has not presented any new ideas.
it’s the same old John Mahama that we all know. The originator of the ‘Dumsor’ debacle
From his narrations, you can see that he has not changed, so if we make a mistake and give him political power again, he will mismanaged the country and also bring back ‘Dumsor’ to destroy businesses and deepen hardships once again
Napo stated that Dr. Bawumia is a visionary, patriotic, and dedicated leader who is prepared to work tirelessly as president to lead the country to the Promised Land. He urged the electorate to vote for Dr. Bawumia and all NPP parliamentary candidates.
