Matthew Opoku Prempeh, commonly referred to as ‘Napo’, the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has launched a strong critique against former President John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He asserted that rather than presenting policies for the electorate’s consideration, the NDC leader is traversing the nation, engaging in campaign activities that are rife with insults and unfounded allegations against innocent individuals.
Without hesitation, he condemned former President Mahama for his recent remarks directed at the clergy, who had offered prayers for the NPP presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, without any provocation.
Napo expressed disappointment, stating that after spending eight years in opposition, he had expected ex-President Mahama to have gained insights and to approach the upcoming December 7 elections with a campaign focused on substantive issues, which has not been the case.
Mr. Mahama has waited in opposition for eight years but surprisingly he seemed not to have learned his lessons as he hasn’t given one credible policy to merit a comeback to political office.
Napo, while speaking to Ghanaian residents, including students, in Memphis, United States, advised the electorate to resist the allure of casting their votes for John Mahama and the parliamentary candidates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Your future is imperil when NDC comes to power again”, the NPP running mate warned and stated that in the interest and development of the country, the citizenry should join hands and reject the NDC for the third time.
We vote for political parties to form government so they can implement better policies for improvement. Also, leadership is something that should be functional but John Mahama and his NDC failed woefully in power.
To ensure that the nation continues to thrive, Napo urged the electorate to decisively support Dr. Bawumia in the upcoming election, as he possesses the necessary qualities to carry forward the commendable initiatives of President Nana Akufo-Addo.
Under the NPP administration, there hasn’t been any petrol crisis in Ghana for eight years, ‘Dumsor’ has been stopped, and about 100 One District One Factories (1D1F) are operating and many more positive achievements so far.
Let’s vote massively to retain the NPP and Dr. Bawumia in political office so that the developmental gains secured would be protected.
