DR. BAWUMIA AND THE ADAKLU CHIEFS ESTABLISH NEW AGREEMENT

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has urged the chiefs and residents of Adaklu and its neighboring regions to support the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming general election on December 7, emphasizing the need for continued development.

This appeal followed remarks from the Paramount Chief of the Adaklu Traditional Area, Togbe Gbogbi Atsa V, who praised the government for its numerous developmental initiatives in the region.

We the people of Adaklu are grateful to the government for interventions such as the Free SHS and also retooling the Adaklu Senior High School (SHS). Our youth are indeed benefiting from these interventions.

During a recent campaign tour of the Volta Region, Dr. Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the ruling NPP, paid a courtesy visit to Togbe Gbogbi Atsa V. In a manner reminiscent of Oliver Twist, Togbe Gbogbi Atsa V expressed a desire for additional support.

When given the chance to address the audience, the Vice President highlighted the numerous developmental initiatives undertaken by the Akufo-Addo administration, which have benefited not only Adaklu but the nation as a whole. Regarding Adaklu specifically, he stated,

We gave you the first potable drinking water.  We have built a Youth Resource Centre; a stadium here in Adaklu. We have brought a District Police Command here to Adaklu in Waya; we have built a Magistrate Court just as we’ve done in every district with bungalows.

We are building Agenda 111 Hospital right here in Adaklu,” which he said was going to benefit the chiefs and people in area.

Togbe Gbogbi Atsa V expressed the gratitude of the Adaklu community towards the government for its initiatives, including the Free Senior High School program and the enhancement of facilities at Adaklu Senior High School.

our youth are indeed benefiting from these interventions, although more can be done.

He stated that this reflects the NPP’s approach to economic development. In the meantime, Dr. Bawumia noted that

when the NDC was in government for 16 years, they built the road for you. But we (referring to the NPP) are making a lot of effort in many areas.

Adaklu will do better under the NPP and under Dr. Bawumia because we have shown what we can do.

He was unable to conceal his enthusiasm upon encountering a significant gathering of Fulanis, whom he identified as his in-laws, at the event, which served as a stakeholder engagement aimed at gathering the perspectives of community and opinion leaders.
