In a significant campaign stop in the Volta Region, Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, laid out an ambitious plan aimed at revolutionizing life for Ghanaians.
His vision focuses on creating a Ghana where essential services and necessities are easily accessible, mirroring the conveniences found in developed countries.
Key Initiatives:
Credit Score System:
Dr. Bawumia emphasized the importance of a robust Credit Score System, which he believes will be a game-changer for Ghanaians seeking financial opportunities. He revealed that his team has spent the past two years developing this system, with completion expected next year.
For the last two years, we have been working on putting together the credit score system for Ghana. My thinking was that next year we will finish. But by the grace of God, I am happy to say we have completed the work for the credit system to start,
he stated. This initiative aims to empower citizens by providing them with greater access to credit, thus enhancing their economic mobility.
Harnessing Solar Energy:
Addressing the pressing issue of high electricity costs, Bawumia announced plans to harness solar energy as part of Ghana’s power production strategy. He proposed setting up a solar energy factory in Ghana to diversify energy sources and reduce reliance on traditional energy generation methods. This initiative not only aims to lower electricity bills for consumers but also positions Ghana as a leader in renewable energy within the region.
We will set up a factory in Ghana to augment our power production capacity with solar energy,
Commitment to accessibility:
Throughout his speech, Bawumia reiterated his commitment to making life easier for Ghanaians. He envisions a future where access to essential services—such as healthcare, education, and financial resources—is seamless and efficient, thereby improving the overall quality of life.
As the campaign heats up, Dr. Bawumia’s bold proposals reflect a comprehensive approach to addressing the challenges faced by Ghanaians. He concluded,
I’m aiming to make life easier for Ghanaians if elected as President,
