For the 2024 election, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has declared that greater inclusivity will continue to be the hallmark of his leadership.
He claimed that the Free SHS program and other government policy objectives were fully implemented because of the NPP’s philosophy, which has been its altar. Speaking to a group of traditional leaders and Municipality residents at a durbar in Ho, Dr. Bawumia shared his vision for the nation.
The vice president is in the Volta Region as part of a national tour, and the election is just over a month away.
When elected president, Dr. Bawumia was confident that the government’s many social actions, which spanned multiple sectors and benefited everyone, would continue the culture.
“I’m here today to explain why you ought to choose me to lead the Republic of Ghana as president,” he said to the assembly. “I’ve spent the last eight years working in this office. I base my entire development and governance ideology on inclusive, broad-based development.
Dr. Bawumia would bring up the free SHS, which was implemented widely despite some opposition but has, according to him, helped about 6 million young people to date.
He told the audience that the country’s credit scoring system will be implemented as the final framework for economic independence and that initiatives in other sectors, such as general infrastructure and health, bore the hallmark of inclusion.
