The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has expressed his disapproval of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Members of Parliament for hastily seeking to claim the Majority position in Parliament.
While speaking to party supporters in Ho Central, located in the Volta Region, Dr. Bawumia remarked that the NDC is exhibiting signs of anxiety regarding the potential loss in the forthcoming elections.
He emphasized that the NPP will maintain its focus and is committed to securing victory in the upcoming electoral contest.
The NDC knows that they are losing this election, they know that we are winning this election, so they are panicking. Just think about it, we have six weeks to an election and their only concern is that they want to be a Majority for six weeks when you have been a Minority for eight years. What is the rush? Because they know they have lost the election, and they want to taste a Majority position for six weeks.
But for us, we know that we are going to stay focused, we will not be distracted, we are the Majority party and we will be the Majority party in Parliament come December 7th.
If you look at Ghana, this election two of us, Dr Bawumia and the former President. The former President can only be president for four years, when you vote for him, you won’t see him again he is going on honeymoon and then retirement, you won’t see him again.
When you vote for Dr Bawumia, I will be back in Ho in four years to give you an account. So, I will work hard for you. I will not be thinking about retirement, I will be making sure I deal with your issues.
