The Director of Communications for the Bawumia Campaign Team, Dennis Miracle Aboagye, expresses certainty that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will not secure victory in the Volta region during the 2024 election.
Nonetheless, Mr. Aboagye remains optimistic that the NPP’s political prospects in the region will experience a considerable enhancement.
The Ghanaian voter today want development and that is why they will vote for NPP. We’re not going to win in Volta region and that one I will be very honest with you but the votes we had in 2020, we will poll three times for Dr Bawumia on December 7.
He expressed these comments during an appearance on Accra-based Neat FM, subsequent to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s tour of the Volta region as the NPP Presidential Candidate.
He stated that the NPP’s achievements in development have been remarkable, which has garnered the admiration of voters in the Volta region.
He noted that the large turnout to greet Dr. Bawumia and hear his address serves as evidence of the steadfast support for the NPP.
There have been a lot of projects in the Volta region. Talk of the Ho town roads which now looks like abroad, the GH₵14 million Ho Central ultramodern market and Hohoe enclave.
Recently, South Dayi MP, Rockson Dafeamekpor attested to the development in his constituency and was convinced the people will certainly vote for NPP.
In the 2020 elections, the NPP secured 101,084 votes, which represented 14.1% of the overall vote count. As the party approaches the December 7 elections, it has set a goal of attaining 300,000 votes.
