The NPP Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has urged voters in Asunafo South Constituency, Ahafo Region, to consider changing their voting pattern by supporting the NPP in both the presidential and parliamentary elections on December 7.
Speaking at a Stakeholder Engagement in Sankore, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the importance of a unified vote, explaining that his presidency will require a strong majority in Parliament to ensure smooth governance. He encouraged voters to move away from the “Skirt and blouse” voting style and instead vote for both him and the NPP parliamentary candidate in the upcoming elections.
Dr. Bawumia, along with his Possibility Campaign Team, began their Ahafo Region tour in Asunafo South, seeking support as the general election approaches. The constituency, traditionally voting for the NPP in presidential elections and the NDC in parliamentary elections, is one Dr. Bawumia hopes to sway entirely towards the NPP.
Dr. Bawumia’s first stop was a stakeholder engagement at Sankore Community Centre, where he met with chiefs, religious leaders, and other notable groups. Omanhene of Sankore, Okogyedom Appiah Kubi, took the opportunity to appeal to Dr. Bawumia for assistance in completing the Sankore main road.
The next stop on the Possibility Campaign Trail was Kokuom, where Dr. Bawumia led a Community Connect forum focused on engaging the youth. There, he outlined his policies geared towards young people and reiterated his appeal for voters to avoid the “skirt and blouse” voting pattern.
Dr. Bawumia also reaffirmed his strong stance against LGBTQ+.
In Norbekwaw, local traders warmly welcomed Dr. Bawumia, expressing their appreciation for government initiatives and infrastructure projects. Many pledged their support for the NPP in the upcoming election.
Dr. Bawumia concluded his message by urging voters to select number 1 on the ballot on December 7.
