Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Vice Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party, has expressed his discontent with Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), regarding the insufficient development in Seikwa, Nketia’s hometown.
During a significant campaign event in Seikwa, part of his tour in the Bono Region, NAPO criticized Asiedu Nketia, asserting that the NDC leader has profited from Seikwa without making any meaningful contributions to its development.
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh was met with a warm and memorable reception in the renowned Tain constituency. He called upon the committed party supporters and the wider community to strive diligently for a victory for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
NAPO questioned why Seikwa, a well-known town in the country, is devoid of essential developmental initiatives such as roads, hospitals, schools, and other vital facilities, emphasizing that Seikwa deserves more attention and improvement.
Dr. Prempeh remarked that Asiedu Nketia has, over the years, leveraged the name of Seikwa to amass considerable wealth, while his hometown continues to suffer from a lack of developmental projects.
Because of the self-centered nature of Asiedu Nketia, the NDC doesn’t deserve votes in Seikwa.
If Asiedu Nketia and his NDC members come to Seikwa with juicy promises to canvass for votes ahead of the December 7 presidential and parliamentary polls, the people of Seikwa should reject them (NDC).
This year, the Vice Presidential Candidate of the NPP expressed his anticipation that the residents of Seikwa will turn down Asiedu Nketia and his NDC, opting instead to cast their votes in large numbers for Dr. Bawumia and the NPP parliamentary candidate to foster development in their community.
He emphasized that true national progress can only be achieved under an NPP administration, urging the populace to support Dr. Bawumia, whom he believes is the ideal leader to guide the nation towards prosperity.
