GHANA WILL DECLINE UNDER MAHAMA; HIS LEADERSHIP MUST BE REJECTED – AKUFO-ADDO TO GHANAIANS

President Nana Akufo-Addo has called upon Ghanaians to dismiss the candidacy of John Dramani Mahama in the forthcoming election, asserting that the former president is not suitable to lead the country.

During his visit to the Central Region on Wednesday, November 6, Akufo-Addo made a direct appeal to the electorate, underscoring the necessity of choosing a leader who can propel the nation forward.

The President contended that Mr. Mahama embodies Ghana’s past and lacks the forward-thinking vision essential for the nation’s future. He expressed that reinstating Mr. Mahama would impede Ghana’s progress, indicating that the former president’s approach to leadership is disconnected from the current needs and aspirations of the populace.

Instead, President Akufo-Addo encouraged voters to back Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate and his vice president.

He characterized Dr. Bawumia as a leader capable of perpetuating the policies of the existing administration, emphasizing Dr. Bawumia’s economic acumen and dedication to fostering transformation in Ghana.

John Dramani Mahama, representing the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) as its flagbearer, has positioned himself as a candidate advocating for change.

Nonetheless, Akufo-Addo’s comments illustrate the NPP’s strategy of portraying the NDC candidate as ill-equipped to tackle the nation’s present challenges.
