The presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has encouraged Ghanaians to participate in the upcoming elections in large numbers and without apprehension, reaffirming his belief in securing victory in the December polls.
Dr. Bawumia delivered these comments during a campaign rally held in Asiwa, located in the Bosome-Freho Constituency of the Ashanti Region, as part of his extensive 16-day campaign tour throughout the region.
In my 16 years of experience in electioneering campaigns, I have never seen a momentum as big as the one I’ve experienced on this tour, covering over 200 constituencies nationwide.
The enthusiasm and support we’ve seen from Ghanaians are unprecedented, and I am confident that victory is within our reach.
He stated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has acknowledged their decreasing prospects of victory, a recognition that he contends accounts for the party’s transition to negative campaigning.
The NDC has seen that they are on the verge of losing, and that is why their campaign is now filled with insults rather than policies. The people of Ghana deserve better.
Dr. Bawumia encouraged the residents of Bosome-Freho to maintain their support for his candidacy, emphasizing his awareness of the challenges they face due to the inadequate road infrastructure in the region.
I know how the deplorable road networks are affecting your daily lives. I assure you that I will fix them once I am given the opportunity to serve for eight years. Unlike my opponent, who has only four years, I can offer more time to address the challenges you face.
I urge you to vote for me because I have the experience and commitment to bring change,” he added. “With your support, we will continue to move Ghana forward.
