BAWUMIA LAUNCHES TELEHEALTH SERVICES

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged Ghanaians to fully embrace the recent digital innovations introduced in the healthcare sector.

Speaking at the official launch of the Telehealth service in Ejisu, Ashanti Region, on November 11, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the transformative impact these services could have on the country’s healthcare system.

The project, initially a pilot in the Ashanti Region, will eventually be expanded to other parts of the country.

The Vice President highlighted that the Telehealth initiative aims to enhance virtual healthcare delivery across the region. He pointed out that this innovative platform will enable Ghanaians to access medical consultations, diagnoses, prescriptions, and even specialist care remotely, making essential healthcare services more accessible within their communities.

He emphasized that this service will not only save people time and money but also improve access to quality healthcare. By enabling remote consultations, patients can receive timely medical care without the need to travel, particularly benefiting those in underserved regions.

He also highlighted that the telehealth platform would provide access to international healthcare services, allowing Ghanaians to benefit from expertise beyond the country’s borders. Dr. Bawumia urged the public to embrace and make use of these digital health services, which he believes will enhance the healthcare experience for all citizens.
