ELECTION 2024: BAWUMIA CAMPAIGN TEAM SAYS WE WON’T BE EMOTIONALLY INVESTED IN PROPHECIES.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team has made it clear that they will not be influenced by prophecies predicting the outcome of the December 7 general elections.

This statement comes in response to claims made by some pastors during a recent meeting with National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, suggesting that he would emerge victorious in the 2024 polls.

In an interview with Citi News, Anthony Karbo, a senior aide to Dr. Bawumia, dismissed these claims, describing them as mere predictions rather than genuine prophecies. He stressed that the campaign’s focus remains on its strategy and voter engagement, not on external commentary.

I see those prophecies as just predictions. I don’t understand why prophecies are so prevalent in Africa. You don’t hear about them in places like China, the U.S., Germany, or the UK. These prophecies seem to be unique to Africa.

He went on to reference previous predictions that were proven wrong, citing the case of Kamala Harris’s supposed victory and the widespread disbelief that Donald Trump could ever become president.

What would have happened if we had chosen to believe those predictions?

Karbo questioned.
