DR. BAWUMIA RETURNS TO THE NORTH AFTER HIS ASHANTI REGIONAL TOUR

Following an exhilarating two-week tour of the Ashanti Region, the NPP presidential candidate, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has made his way back to the Northern Region.

Dr. Bawumia commenced his constituency-focused tour in the Northern Region in July and has since visited nearly all constituencies across the sixteen Regions.

His return to the North was met with great enthusiasm as he visited three constituencies: Kumbungu, Tolon, and Tamale South. He began in Kumbungu, a constituency known for its traditional support of the NDC, where he attracted a substantial crowd, instilling concern among his rivals.

Subsequently, he proceeded to Tolon, a constituency where the NPP has achieved victories in the last two elections. Tolon is represented by Deputy Majority Chief Whip, Habib Iddrisu.

The constituents demonstrated overwhelming support for Dr. Bawumia, as they gathered in large numbers for the rally, which was described as the largest political assembly in the region.

Dr. Bawumia subsequently traveled to the regional capital, Tamale, with a focus on Tamale South. A comparable atmosphere was observed in Tamale South, highlighting the significant influence Dr. Bawumia is exerting even in constituencies that have historically leaned towards the NDC.

During his engagement with local leaders and residents, Dr. Bawumia articulated his vision and policies aimed at fostering Ghana’s development.

He also took the opportunity to remind the constituents of the unsatisfactory performance of his primary rival, former President John Mahama, who also originates from the North, asserting that during his tenure as President, he failed to meet the expectations of the Northern region and the nation as a whole.
