Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President and Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, made a triumphant return to his hometown of Walewale on Friday, where he was met with an enthusiastic welcome.
This event marked a significant endorsement of Bawumia’s presidential aspirations, as thousands of supporters from the town and neighboring villages gathered to express their admiration and backing.
Accompanied by prominent party figures, including Finance Minister Mohammed Amin Adam and Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif, Bawumia received a warm reception as he entered the town and proceeded to the nearby community of Langbisi.
In Langbisi, he engaged with local stakeholders before inaugurating an astro turf facility, which has been highly praised by the youth in the area.
Following his visit to Langbisi, Dr. Bawumia returned to Walewale for the day’s key events, which included the commissioning of the Walewale Watermelon Factory and a mosque within the community.
During a rally, Dr. Bawumia energized the crowd by introducing the incumbent Member of Parliament, Hajia Lariba Abudu, alongside the NPP’s new parliamentary candidate, Dr. Kabiru Mahama, emphasizing unity within the party.
He also highlighted numerous significant projects undertaken by the NPP in the Northern Region and across the nation. Dr. Bawumia called upon the electorate to cast their votes in large numbers for him in the 2025 elections, aiming to continue the government’s positive initiatives for the advancement of Ghana.
