AKUFO-ADDO APPEALS TO ASHANTI REGION RESIDENTS TO SECURE VICTORY FOR THE NPP

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has called upon Ghanaians, particularly those in the Ashanti Region, to support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) candidate for the 2024 Presidential election.

During a meeting with professional organizations at the True Vine Hotel in Kumasi, he urged voters to select Dr. Bawumia, who is listed first on the ballot, in the upcoming presidential election scheduled for December 7.

President Akufo-Addo highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s preparedness to govern the country, noting his integrity and innovative ideas as essential attributes for ensuring ongoing development.

Dr. Bawumia is well-prepared to take over and build on the solid foundation we have laid. What is Mahama coming to do? He has nothing new to offer,” the President remarked. He cautioned voters against repeating past mistakes, referencing the 2008 elections, and warned of potential regret if Ghanaians fail to back the NPP.

We cannot afford to miss the fourth industrial revolution after missing the first, second, and third revolutions. Dr. Bawumia represents fresh ideas and the future. Let us ensure he secures victory come December 7.

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah, along with the NPP Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako (commonly known as Chairman Wontumi), emphasized both completed and ongoing development initiatives within the region.

They expressed their appreciation to the President for guaranteeing that the Ashanti Region receives an equitable allocation of national resources, acknowledging the enduring influence of his leadership. With the 2024 election on the horizon, President Akufo-Addo renewed his appeal for Ghanaians to cast their votes in large numbers for Dr. Bawumia, in order to maintain the advancements achieved under the NPP.

For eight years as my running mate and eight years as Vice-President, Dr. Bawumia has been a man of integrity and honesty. Let us trust him to lead us into a brighter future.
