Members of the clergy in the Ashanti Region gathered to offer prayers for Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the 2024 Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), as the general election on December 7 draws near.
They also prayed for the NPP and its flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, asking for victory in the upcoming elections.
Dr. Prempeh met with over 200 Christian leaders from all 47 constituencies of the Ashanti Region on Friday, November 29, 2024, in Kumasi. The gathering focused on nation-building, peace for the nation ahead of the elections, and other matters concerning the Christian faith.
During the event, Dr. Prempeh emphasized Dr. Bawumia’s steadfast commitment to fostering a strong collaboration between the government and religious leaders in the country’s governance.
Apostle Sampson Adjei Berko of Glory & Hope Ministries International, Jordan-Kotwi, led the intercessory prayers for Dr. Prempeh. The clergy members prayed for God’s blessings, favor, and guidance for him throughout the election period. They also prayed for the peace and stability of the nation before, during, and after the 2024 general elections.
