President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed strong confidence in his Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as the right candidate to lead Ghana in the future.
During a meeting with members of Organised Labour on December 3, the president emphasized that Dr. Bawumia has accumulated the necessary experience and knowledge over the past seven years to successfully take on the role of president.
I have no doubt in my mind that my vice president who was with me eight years in opposition and who was a Deputy Governor at the Bank of Ghana when I came across him and asked him to follow me into politics, eight years in opposition and eight years in government, this man is well prepared today to be president.
And my appeal to you is that on Saturday when you go to cast your ballot, look closely at the elephant.
