A former deputy general secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Obiri Boahen, has expressed the view that the party is conducting the most successful, efficient, and impactful campaign in its political history.
The private legal practitioner noted that the NPP’s 2024 campaign has effectively reached the grassroots, demonstrating a significant impact compared to previous campaigns.
He asserted that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his campaign team, with the backing of the party, have executed a campaign that resonates well with Ghanaian voters, and he is optimistic that this will be evident in the forthcoming elections.
Boahen made these remarks during an appearance on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, stating,
I must emphasize that I am pleased and confident in the manner the NPP is conducting its campaign. Since 1992, I have not witnessed the NPP organize a campaign as appealing and effective as the one for 2024. This campaign has truly engaged with the grassroots.
He further mentioned that, as someone with extensive experience and a long-standing association with the party since its inception, he is able to make this assertion with confidence.
