The Final funeral rites for the late broadcast journalist, Martin Kwabena Kwakye, also known as ‘Wofa K.K,’ are scheduled to be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the forecourt of the State House in Accra.
The family has announced that the remains of Wofa K.K will be laid to rest in Sekyere Kwaman in the Ashanti Region, while the funeral proceedings will continue in the capital city of Ghana.
Dignitaries expected to attend the event include President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice-President Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Opare Osei, Ministers of State, as well as heads of various agencies and state institutions.
Earlier, on Saturday, March 9, 2024, a 12-hour mass requiem was conducted at the forecourt of Oman FM at Madina Zongo Junction to honor the memory of the late veteran broadcast journalist.
This service was part of the activities planned for the one-week observation of Wofa K. K and was themed ‘Harmony in Remembrance of a Broadcast Legend – The Life and Legacies of Wofa K. K.
