AKUFO-ADDO CALLS ON VOTERS TO SUPPORT BAWUMIA, SLAMS MAHAMA FOR AVOIDING DEBATE

The President of the Republic Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians to cast their votes for progress and development in the upcoming elections. According to him, a vote for Mahamudu Bawumia and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is the only way to ensure the country moves forward.

Speaking to Muslims at the forecourt of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly( AMA), the President pleaded,

As we are about to vote, let’s vote for development, not a vote that will retrogress the country.

He emphasized that the future of Ghana depended on choosing a government that would prioritize the welfare of the people.

He asserted that,

If we talk about a helpful government that will help Ghana, it is a vote for Mahamudu Bawumia

The President reflected on the progress made under the current administration, highlighting the numerous infrastructure projects and improvements in various sectors.

He questioned the wisdom of reversing these advancements, asking,

Are we prepared to throw them all away? With all the developments taking place, are we prepared to reverse all that?

He urged the electorate to think seriously about the direction in which the country is heading.

He stressed the NPP’s vision for a brighter future under the leadership of Bawumia.

We want to go forward, forward. We want to go forward with Mahamudu Bawumia.

In a sharp critique of former President John Mahama, Akufo-Addo accused him of avoiding a public debate with Bawumia, calling it an indication of his inability to defend his record.

Former President Mahama has been shying away from engaging in a debate with Vice President Bawumia. This is because Bawumia and the NPP are the only party that can propel Ghana forward.

Akufo-Addo stated.
