President Nana Akufo-Addo has officially endorsed Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the ideal candidate to lead Ghana in the 2024 elections.
Describing Dr. Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, as a leader with remarkable qualities and a clear vision for the nation, the president emphasized his exceptional leadership and proven track record.
Speaking to stakeholders in Ho, the capital of the Volta Region, on Saturday, 30 November, President Akufo-Addo praised Dr. Bawumia’s abilities, stressing that he is well-equipped to guide Ghana into the Fourth Industrial Revolution and ensure long-term, sustainable development.

The president stated that Dr. Bawumia’s ability to tackle Ghana’s challenges makes him the ideal candidate for the presidency.
President Akufo-Addo highlighted that, of all the leading candidates in the 2024 elections, Dr. Bawumia is the top choice to succeed him as the sixth president of the Fourth Republic.
He further explained that Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to innovation and technological advancement aligns perfectly with Ghana’s growth aspirations in an ever-changing global environment. The president urged the public to back the NPP’s candidate, believing that Dr. Bawumia will fulfill his promises and lead progress in critical sectors.
