AKWAITA NPP IS UNITED FOR SUCCESS IN THE 2024

In an attempt to foster a unified team and a cohesive front in the Akwatia Constituency ahead of the December elections, the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has arranged a reconciliation meeting between the Parliament Candidate (PC), Ernest Kumi, and the former Member of Parliament, Mercy Gyamfua also known as Ama Sey.

The initiative was spearheaded by the Minister of Food and Agriculture and Member of Parliament for Abetifi, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, who engaged with NPP members in the Constituency. During various events, Dr. Acheampong encouraged party members to diligently strive toward regaining the Akwatia parliamentary seat from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 elections.

He emphasized the importance of unity within the party in the Akwatia Constituency. Ama Sey, the former NPP MP, echoed the call for unity and assured her supporters in the Constituency of her commitment to support the PC to secure victory for the party in the Akwatia seat in 2024.

The MP for Akwapim South and Minister of State for Local Government, O.B Amoah, and the former MP for Ayensuano, Samuel Ayeh Paye, who were part of the regional party leadership delegation to the Akwatia Constituency, also urged party members to prioritize the best interests of the NPP and collaborate closely with the elected PC to ensure success on December 7.

Mr. Amoah stressed that internal party unity and discipline among party members are crucial prerequisites for the party to secure a third consecutive term in office in December 2024.

Previously, the regional party leadership, led by Chairman Jeff Konadu Addo, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, O. B Amoah, Ama Sey, Ernest Kumi, and Samuel Ayeh Paye, paid a courtesy visit to the Akyem Wenchi Chief and the head of the Oseawuo Division of the Okyeman Traditional Council, Dasebre Dr. Asumadu Nyarko Appiah Akyem.

The team also met with the former MP for Akwatia and ex-regional Chairman of the party, Kiston Akomeng Kissi, at his residence.

Dr. Acheampong initiated a regional tour last week to visit all 33 constituencies in the Eastern Region, engaging party members and emphasizing the region’s crucial role in the NPP’s success in the upcoming campaign.

In addition to meeting with party members, Dr. Acheampong and his team also interacted with the council of elders and patrons, former and current NPP assembly members, and former constituency executives in each constituency.

During his speech, he motivated the party base with an inspiring message, encouraging them to rise to the occasion and secure a definitive victory in the 2024 general elections.

The NPP’s activities in the constituencies form part of a larger strategy to strengthen support throughout the region, ensuring the party is well-prepared for the elections.

Thus far, the team has visited the Asuoagyam, Akuapim South, Ayensuano, Akwatia, and Fanteakwa North constituencies, respectively.
